I read the Siempre Libres most days, and did not see anything that attributes 70 murders to the area. Did they define "the area" - could be including Guadalajara and Tepic for all I know.

Certainly more than you used to hear about, but that sounds pretty high.

BTW, ALL local papers are scandal rags

 Nice post. Not just because of the information but for the fact you have stepped up to the plate and are helping to denounce the fact of an Unsafe and dangerous Mexico.
There are around a dozen posters who have stepped up and made a statement on this post. Good for them and thank you very much.
It would be nice to see some of the "lurkers" make a post, let the forumīs readers know that life is good in Mexico. It is election year, donīt be shy. There may be nay sayers but be assured you will be supported in supporting Mexico.
