Rojano Seguros Reforma, Calle 72 x 33-B, Local 3 97173 Mérida, Yucatán, México Mérida Yucatán / 01 999 920 4333

Good agent, good service, good prices, good insurance. Includes financial bond insurance coverage to keep the driver out of jail while the police are investigating and deciding who is at fault and how much damages might be owed.

Re Minisplits: Have you checked out "inverter" units - where they internally invert the alternating current over to DC, which allows them to have a variable speed compressor. Running the DC compressors at lower speeds - but continuously - can give energy savings of 30% and as much at 60% over low efficiency regular mini splits.

I have no personal recommendations on specific brands, but a good friend has enjoyed his Panasonic for 3 years, and his power bills reflect the energy savings. The extra $5,000 pesos in cost for an inverter can be paid for in a year if you use AC often. We have had very good luck with LG here - built to handle the harsh Tropical conditions. The shop you buy your AC at can recommend a good installer - buy you may find much better selection and better prices at the appliance vendors in Merida than the much smaller Progreso. ??? safe travels.
