Hotel Ibis, 1/2 block "north" of Fiesta Americana (on the diagonal street between the 6 points intersection and the Glorieta de Monumento a la Bandera had cheaper rooms.
Luz en Yucatan has the rep of being the nicest B&B in Merida, a 5 minute cab ride away, and costs less. Hotel Dolores Alba just 3 blocks from the Plaza Principal is our favorite place for guests to stay - clean - nice pool - charming - well-priced. Unlike some other smaller hotels and B&B's, these 2 do not have hidden or surprise charges.
