Hello, again!

Thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts, for the feedback/suggestions around lodgings in DF. We have taken your collective suggestion of NOT driving in DF to heart, and have decided to head to Guanajuato directly from the Airport. Where do we catch the bus to Guanajuato, or where is the bus route information located? Or what is the company name?

Also, how long will it take to get from the Banamex Centro to the Basicilla and pyramids? Is there a metro line we can take? Any suggestions for getting from Point A to Point B, then Point C?

There is an herb market for traditional healers in DF. I have been once but can't remember the name. Does anyone know it?

Kathy, to go to Guanajuato, I'd head for Terminal Norte de Autobuses. There, I'd check out Lineas Primera Plus or ETN. (I mentioned this in a previous response to you.)

I don't think that there is direct service directly from the airport to Guanajuato. So, you'll have to take a cab to Terminal Norte.
Buy a taxi ticket for an authorized taxi from one of the taxi ticket booths inside, not on the street.
Some may suggest taking the Metro, but I don't recommend that on a first visit to Mexico City, with more than a few bags, and possibly being tired.

The market for traditional herb healers is probably Mercado Sonora. That isn't in the better areas of the city.

You can get to Teotihuacán by cab or Metro to Terminal Norte, where you can get a bus. However, I haven't been there in years, so I'm not up to date on the details.

The advice is always given to go early, to avoid the strong sun. There's very little shade there.
I have no info about getting to the Basilica. Info should be available at Terminal Norte. (Consult a good guide book.)

To get to the Basílica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, take MetroBús Line 1 to station Deportivo 18 de Marzo, almost at the northern end of the line. Walk to the the stoplight, turn right, and walk about two blocks. You're there. Tell her I said hello.

The MetroBús is fabulous: you'll see on that website that you can click on any of the four different lines to see where in the city they will take you. It is ALL above ground, so that you can sight-see while you're getting to your destination. For example,
the new Line 4 will bring you to (or from) the airport to (or from) the Centro Histórico, all the way to the Buenavista station to connect to Line 1. Nonetheless, I wouldn't take it if you are handling a bunch of luggage. I would use it, for example, if I were going to meet someone at the airport--and then we would take a cab back to wherever we were heading.
