Confusion about Tenacatita Beach situation

I'm confused about which beach at Tenacatita has been in dispute. Is it the main beach in town, or at Boca de Iguana? We haven't been to Tenacatita in several years, and the photos I've seen of the current situation don't look familiar. The last time we were at Boca de Iguana there was one sort-of hotel, a house or 2, and not much else. It seems impossible that the beach in town would be confiscated.

There is no town on any beach at tenacatita.

I distinctly remember spending a night at a small hotel, and spending a pleasant afternoon at the beach with friends a few years later, but clearly that was too long ago and the hotel and the restaurants have all either been demolished or abandoned. I was confusing La Manzanilla and Boca de Iguana with Tenacatita, however. We were staying in La Manzanilla when we came to Tenacatita for the day.

So the main beach at Tenacatita, probably including Mora Beach, is the territory in question. That was actually what I wanted to know, not that there are no hotels on Tenacatita any longer.

There are/were a few motels at Tenacatita currently full of the occupying police force ... and no longer any beach restaurants. Not a place you'd want to go until the conflict is resolved.

One hotel in Boca that just went thru "bankruptcy". Boca is not near Tenacatita

Vaguely .... Tenacatita is north of BlueBay and Boca is south and La Manzanilla is further south. Bahía de Tenacatita is large. Thru and past the BlueBay resort is another nice public beach/river mouth called La Vena

The newest edition of Mexico Desconocido, for July 2012, in a special edition about 22 of the best beaches in Mexico - features this beach at Tenacatita.
