From Student to Work permit?

Hi guys at Mexconnect,

I recently acquirred permission to stay in Mexico for nearly a year as a student. The reason is, that I am doing an internship here as part of my studies in Denmark. I have soon finished my internship and am then planning to stay here to look for jobs.

However, I was wondering whether it is possible to go from a Student to at Work permit without leaving the country (for two months).. Does any of you guys have knowledge about that?

I have no idea how this would be done. I suggest checking with your nearest INM office to find out.

A student visa cannot be converted to any other kind of visa.

Rolly,

Does that mean that my student visa has to expire, that I have to enter as a tourist and then apply for a work permit? :/

Yes, except you cannot apply for a working visa (FM3 with working endorsement) until you find a job. The job comes first.
