Extension Ladder

Where is a good place to purchase a wide ( 19+ inches ) extension ladder that can easly handle a 250 lb person (me) working (300 lbs rated capacity) ?

The big box store does not have one that I like at a reasonable price.

Maybe a Telescoping Multi-Position Ladder 300 Lbs like a little G.

Suggestions are appreciated, I am in GDL.

I bought one at a local building supply store -- the place where you buy rebar, cement, etc,

Like Rolly said, I'd suggest looking and/or asking around for local (perhaps independent) building supply stores. Here in our town on the edge of DF, we have some stores that look like just a small storefront from the street, but are much bigger inside, and they stock everything. I’d expect there to be some similar stores in GDL.

So you found something at the local Home Depot but you think it is too expensive?

Check your local hardware stores. All of them from Amutio to the little ones have them in the Chapala area. They are more expensive here than NOB, but you can often negotiate a discount.

Old thread, but i purchased one for something like 1995 at homedepot in zapopan. Only one found that would hold me up and I did not feel unconfortable on at approx. 230 lbs.
