Need hotel in Pueblo Centro

Does anyone know of an economical hotel in Centro Historico Puebla?
We will be 2 couple traveling the 1st of May and would like to be near the Zocalo, el Parian, etc. Or is this an oxymoron?

Advice you may not need re traveling to Puebla: remember that May 5 is the commemoration of the Battle of Puebla, celebrated more in Puebla than anywhere else, since that's where it took place. You will want to get hotel reservations ASAP if you will be in the city during those fiestas.

Oh, CR*%!!!! I was just getting used to getting past the Semana Santa holidays & did not think to look ahead....fudge!!!

You can always stay at the cityexpress off the freeway and take a cab to town. I was there 2 years ago during the 5 de Mayo and had no problem finding a hotel. Sorry do not remember the name.
