EARLY BIRD Restaurant Review - In Ajijic

Three of us went to lunch at Early Bird restaurant yesterday. I had the Corned Beef sandwich with Swiss cheese and fries. Deeelicious tender, tasty corned beef. My friend had their cheeseburger with fries and a coffee milk shake. Another friend just had an Iced Tea. The food was delicious. Their fries are made from Russet potatoes with skins left on. They're the best that I've had here.

In any case, they were the best french fries that I have had in Mexico.

"Real" is in the eye of the beholder. John meant "real" as in made from fresh potatoes. I like "rustic" fries with the skin. Fried potatoes are no more authentic than pizza or paella no matter where they're served. There simply is no one "right" way to prepare them.
