Law and Order in Mexico

In the state of Nuevo Leon where the homicide rate has jumped 617% in the last two years and very very few of those murders are prosecuted a judge has issued arrest warrants for two chefs accused of stealing a recipe for grilled asparagus from the restaurant they used to work at.

Hmmm...maybe that the law is upheld IF there's no danger of a gun fight in the process?

The point is that you better think twice before you steal any recipes in Mexico. What's the matter Alan, no sense of humor?

Although some may find it humours, the stats come from a recent article that has been published in the Mexican press from the study presented by México Evalúa. The study revealed among other things that 80.6% of homicides in Mexico go unpunished. In some states the rates can be as high as Chihuahua, 96%, Coahuila, 76% Durango, 95%, Puebla, 77% y Sinaloa, 93 % for homicidios dolosos (intencional Homicide)

Other stats were also included in the report like the low resolution rate of investigations and arrest warrants.

Personally I do not find it humours, I find it worrisome and sad.

One can see the video here http://bcove.me/sjo8chfj

The full report: Seguridad y Justicia Penal en los Estados can be seen here http://flipflashpages.uniflip.com/...36190/pub/index.html
