Information Pease re: moving household goods from Seattle to Morelia

Can't Post | Private Reply
Hello,

We will be moving from Seattle to Morelia. If anyone has moved household goods from the North West or west coast recently, or even in the past few years, it would be good to hear about the move. Any thoughts, suggestions, information about movers and moving companies will be very much appreciated. I know there have been many posts on this topic and I am hoping for the most recent information available.

Thanks so much,
Diana

I have always recommended SEYMI, the highly professional English and Spanish speaking movers based in Guadalajara. They will arrange everything for you, including the packing--every detail both in the USA and Mexico will be taken care of in a way that will get your possessions to Morelia without incident. You simply can't find a better mover than SEYMI.

Note: I don't work for them or have any vested interest in their business. They have moved my belongings more than once, and to my complete satisfaction.

Esperanza, do you know if they would be available to move things, mostly many boxes of books, from the East Coast, specifically from the Philadelphia area?

Of course, I will do that, Rolly. I just wondered if, off the top of her head, esperanza knew if this company had offices on the East Coast.

SEYMI has its offices in Guadalajara. However, they have contracts with moving companies all over the world. Contact SEYMI directly, please.

Oops, I sent this as a private reply, but I meant to send it to the list.

When we did our move, we were fortunate in that we were coming from Ottawa which has a big target market for international moving: because it is the national capital, there is a constant flow of diplomats from different countries moving into and out fromthe city. So there are a lot of moving companies in Ottawa with experience in international moves.

I see that Seattle has a Mexican consulate as well as consulates of several other countries, so if you can find recommendations for which companies move the consular staff to and from their home countries, that might give you a good
