Looking For A Forever Home

I have a very nice loving Golden Retriever appears to be pure who came to our home about two months ago. He is about a year to a year and a half according to the Vet. He was very skittish at the time and was nothing but a bag of bones, when he first showed up.

Since that time “Whiskey” has filled out nicely, become very playful and gets along well with our three large labs. I have had him neutered and he has been dewormed, as well as started on heart guard. I really do not have the space needed for four large dogs. I would really like to see "Whiskey" go to a good forever home. I don't think he will grow very large, as I believe he was probably a runt of a litter and probably got turned out as he wouldn't sell.

"Whiskey" is a very loving affectionate dog and would make a very good pet. He is also a very good watchdog. His bark is intimidating and when he is in his protective mode his voice really deepens. He has not shown any fear of fireworks noise. He does get along well with other dogs, but absolutely not cats, and he is good (but playful) with children. He is also totally housebroken.

I haven’t had him in a car so I could not tell you about that. He really does not like a woman with a broom for some reason. If someone has a yard and would like a good loyal friend and companion as well as a security dog, he would be a good one.

I am not asking any money for him but, I would like to know that he would have a warm place in the winter, a cool place in the summer and a friend to be with. If you would like to know more about "Whiskey" please PM me. This fellow really needs a good forever home and deserves one too.

If anyone on here has access to any other expat site or forum in Mexico and would like to help by reposting this post on another forum, I would be very grateful. I only post here on Mexconnect.

Thanks

Hi Rolly,

Good to hear from you again. I am located about 6 miles outside of San Juan del Rio (Queretaro) off the 57 Autopista on the way to Mexico City. I know that whoever wants Whiskey will have to travel to get him. That is why I am not asking for any money for him. I usually ask folks to pay for the spay or neuter as they then have an investment in the dog, but traveling adds up to the same thing for me. I hope they will also consider that drive an investment in the dog also.

If someone is interested they can PM me and I will also give them my home phone and can answer any other questions they may have about Whiskey.

This is a really nice dog and is very gentle around our two year old daughter as well.

San Juan del Río, Querétaro? Right?
Not everyone is an expert on the geography of México.

I am happy to say that "Whiskey" Has found a very nice family who has asked for him. They already have one dog but wanted a buddy for their other dog, so Whiskey left tonight for Queretaro and his forever home. Thanks to all who read and thought about "Whiskey"
