crossing at Mariposa/Nogales. Where can I get Pesos ?

My wife and I have decided to cross the border at the Mariposa/Nogales crossing. We selected Mariposa rather than Nogales as it is supposed to be quicker.However. this leads me to a two part question.

First: We will need Pesos for the tolls, gas, etc. Since the Mariposa crossing avoids both Nogales Arizona and Nogales Mexico do you know where we can get Pesos or will we need to go into Nogales, Mexico ?

Second: We must get a no contract cell phone for Mexico. Can we get this some where around the Mariposa crossing or must we go into Nogales for this ?

Actually the intersection where you will turn off to go to the Mariposa crossing ( Interstate 19 and W. Mariposa Rd) is well built up as there is shopping, strip malls, etc. there. I have previously exchanged pesos in a casa de cambio just a few blocks east of I19 on Mariposa Rd.

Don't know if one can purchase a TelCel phone in that area or in Nogales Az. in general. I personally would not go 'back' into Nogales MX just to get a cellphone. The road south from the Mariposa crossing goes right by the Nogales airport. Maybe there will be a TelCel shop out that way. Push comes to shove one could wait until Hermosillo, 174 miles south. The probability of one needing a cellphone within that first 4 hours is really remote.
