http://www.telmex.com/internos/infinitum/info/cdcobertura.htm According to this page DSL is available, as a last resort. Though in Morelia cable is waaaaay more economical than anything from Telmex. $275/month for about 80 tv channels & 64kbps cable, connected 24/7. Higher speeds are available of course. Telecable has changed their rates, its gone down for residential and skyrocketed for commercial service, for anyone interested. As far as I can tell you're going to have to pay $3000 to have your DSL installed, Telmex makes you buy the modem, whereas the cable company here just charged me a $1500 deposit.. In Morelia two companies offer cable, as far as I know, and they are Telecable and CableMas. CableMas is definately in more cities across the country, I don't know about Telecable, which is what I have. But seeing as you haven't gotten any specific responses from anyone in Oaxaca yet, maybe this can help your research a little.... I just moved and had my internet reinstalled, yesterday. The night before I went to Telecable and told them my new address, and the next morning at 11 oclock they were here installing it. I was very impressed. I wouldn't count on service like that from Telmex. Ok I know I'm not in Oaxaca, but maybe this can get you started, if you look up these companies and maybe call them.
