Need recommendation for furniture moving co.Chapala to USA

We are moving to Tucson in April and would appreciate your recommendation of a moving company that you have had experience with. I would also like to hear any complaints by private email.

I second what esperanza has said in full. They moved me from the border in Laredo to their storage facility in GDL for 6 months, then to my new home in Ajijic. Total professionals.

There is another company equally competent.

Many people at Lakeside use Strom-White, but I have no experience with them.

Compare prices of the top two. Get full insurance if you think you have a lot of valuables. If you're not insured and the truck goes off a cliff you're SOL.

I recommend Winston at Lake Chapala Moving. He's moved me twice at the Lake but I know people he has moved long distance and they were very happy. He is better priced than the other movers.

Any suggestions for performing the challenging home improvement job of shifting appliances without destroying the ground? Moving appliances in your kitchen isn't all that different from moving home furnishings in your family room, save for the fact that in the kitchen, you'll scuff the heck out of tile or fake linoleum if you are not careful. Assuming you're in a money-saving, do-it-yourself frame of mind.

What?

The OP was asking about moving companies not actually moving furniture in a house. Down here I don't know of anyone who has linoleum. We all have ceramic hard tiles that doesn't scuff.

Here's a tip for you on moving kitchen appliances. Works like a charm.
Most modern refrigerator/freezers are on roller these days but if yours is not, this tip will work on the heavy stuff too.
Go to a carpet store and buy a couple of pieces of heavy carpeting that they use for display. Commercial grade is best. Cut them into 6 inch squares. Slide a square of carpeting under each corner of the appliance, usable side down. You can now move what ever it is around or out, without scuffing anything, Tile or linoleum. You're welcome!

Strom White is excellent too. They moved my neighbor who is very fussy to Nashville, TN. They just packed up my cousins furniture on the 31st for a move to Bradenton, FL.
