The State, to this point, has been considered as one untouched by the government's war with the narcos. The incident described here is an isolated event, but the readers' comments reveal an environment in which all is not tranquilo. One alludes to the belief that some narco families are allowed by the authorities to live there in peace in exchange for no violent activities seen elsewhere. This is very similar to the pact that existed in the wealthy community, San Pedro Garza-Garcia near Monterrey. Before the shit hit the fan, that is.
