Looking for a companion dog

Can't Post | Private Reply
for my 9.5 year old lab-weimarauner mix rescue dog that I have had and loved for 6.5 years. She needs a mate and loves all dogs and cats. Also squirrels, opossums, skunks and rats. What can I say? She just loves everything. Want to scour everyplace for the best match. I know about Anita's, the Ranch and the animal shelter. Anyplace else I should check? I cannot handle the hassle of a puppy, besides, I will probably be gone before she is. I am looking for neutered female, short hair at least two years old, all shots, housebroken or close to being housebroken. Race, religion, criminal record and sexuality not important. Thanks for any insight. fug

I would check with the Vet. Pepe in Riberas on the South side of the street. He often, perhaps continuously, has free dogs for the right person.

Lakeside Spay & Neuter has 75+ rescue dogs at any given time up at their facility up behind the Libramento . All of them are obviously spayed or neutered, and have their shots. You can pick the one you think would work best forand with you. All of the dogs are medium to large size. Ages vary.

Definitely on my list. I can even find it all by myself. That is where I got my current rescue dog and those folks are the best, they have some history of each dog and the dogs have protected shelter and huge runs. Love Gudrun and her group. They are the best. fug
