WHOOPS -- Are our addresses really secure?

Today I rec'd. an e-mail advertising erotic art work. At the bottom of the message it says, "We found your esteem (sic) company on www.mexconnect.com's web site". This isn't a good omen if people can come in an pick off our "secure" addresses.

I just received an email from someone else about this.

The email address you supplied when you signed up IS secure.

As to where they are getting the addresses from, I can only think of the old forums where they were harvestable.

I am getting to the bottom of this tomorrow to see what can be done about them.

I received the erotic art sale advertisement today also. Mentioned that the address was from Mexconnect. My address is the same as it was on the old forum though.

I received the erotic art email this morning and I never posted an address on the old forum.

I have only used this email addy for this forum.

Have had the email addy for 4 months. No email.

Signed up here with email addy. Now get min 5 trash spam mails a day.
