Dog Found in Ribera
A mostly white dog with a black head, trapped in a house under construction, was freed this morning and taken to the shelter in Riberas. She is about a year old, well fed, clean, and with a collar. Very friendly and playful. I would appreciate it if someone would post this info on any other lists they know of. Gracias to all.

If you think this might be yours or a friends please check at the shelter.

It's great that the dog was freed, but why take a well-fed, clean dog w/a collar to the shelter?! If left alone it would just go back home. Now, it's being prevented from doing so, and someone is mourning the loss of their pet.

Dog found.
Dog in shelter. Three to five of these are posted everyday on various webboards. Would be great to hear of a homeless person being taken in and given shelter. Do not get me wrong. Love dogs, but love people more. fug

Amen. I am missing one of my dogs. Hope he wasn't rescued. At least it wasn't some little kid taken to an orphanage.

Suggestion. With all of the amazing interest in lost and found animals, why not set up a new permanent topic for animals. That way those that love animals can have immediate contact with others that share their interest and concern and those that do not, still have it as a resource if they are missing an animal or want to adopt another one. I, for one, find it difficult to wade through all of the dogs and cats that are lost, missing or have been rescued. Consolidating this on one thread may help every one. I currently am looking for a companion rescue dog to my 9.5 year old rescue dog that I have had for six years. I know this would make it easier for me to help me in my search for the right companion. fug
