MexConnect "whiteout" on Wednesday January 18

Owing to circumstances beyond our control, MexConnect servers were offline (along with hundreds of servers in a central Vancouver server bank) for much of yesterday.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
I'm not sure of all the details, but apparently a construction crew working on a nearby street severed one of those massive cable thingies...

... and all along I thought that Mexconnect was participating in the 'blackout' protest.
