This idiotic and enormously expensive folly is the current laughingstock of Mexico. Hugely over budget and inaugurated well over a year after it was due to be part of Mexico's Bicentenario, it is considered to be just another bureaucratic funds sinkhole.

"El Monumento de SuaveCremas"* is how, I think, an architect referred to it today in my English class.

*The cream-filled cookies with the waffle-like outer exterior is the reference, I'm pretty sure....

You're right about Suavecremas.

The other day in the newspaper, it was reported that where there should have been obsidian on some of the walls, tablaroca (sheet rock) was used instead. Huh, I always thought tablaroca was a super substitute for obsidian. Geez louise.
