Mapquest confirms that the distance is about as you say. Their estimate of travel time is 11.5 hours. In the past I have found their Mexico travel estimate to be on the high side. That road, as you say, has some significant curvey sections, is entirely two-lane (except for a few kilometers around Manzanillo) and I'll bet has one million topes. I think I'd plan on closer to the 11.5 hours than the 7.95 that you got by using a 50mph average. Disclaimer: I have driven the PV to Colima portion of Mex-200 (and about 100km down south from Tecoman) but have never driven on down to Playa Azul or Lazaro Cardenas. Using the site that chicois8 provided above, the distance is 615km and the drive-time is 7:56. Toll of 109pesos. At this point it may be appropriate to use a pun...... "YMMV"
