Is there an expat Jeep club in the Lake Chapala area?

From the lack of a response I guess there is not. Maybe I'll have to start one. Not the "lets see if we can tear our Jeep up" type of club you find up north but a tour group that travels together to sites like Colima or to the beach. Or perhaps a trip around the lake. Interested in hearing from people that have Jeeps lakeside and that would be interested in something like this. We will be looking for a good Mexico plated Jeep when we arrive in April.

There are a number of Jeeps in the area, including mine, but most of us own them primarily to survive the cobbleboulders and topes. As far as touring, that's when you really need a Jeep, you'll find topes hiding in the shade of trees in the most obscure places and a regular car would be toast. I left my Mark VIII in TX in storage, it wouldn't make it down here.
