There is an interesting conversation on another board about counterfeit pesos, how to spot them, and what to do with them.

Interesting indeed, Rolly. I guess one's only recourse would be to go back where you got the bills, but in most cases in Mexico I suspect that would be futile.

I got out the black light and scanned 12 bills from 20 to 200 and most had small speckles, but nothing else I could see, so not sure what that means?

Friend said she got one from an ATM that was one step up from a piece of cardboard. The bank didn't care
