How to get my stuff to Mexico?

I'm in the situation of not having a good vehicle to go to Mexico in. I have an ancient gas guzzling cargo van or I have a motorcycle. I know that once I get to my destination I will no longer need a vehicle as I prefer to walk and ride the bus. However, I have some bulky stuff that I have to bring with me....including some medical equipment. The main problem is the medical equipment and my miniature schnauzer, otherwise I travel very lightly. Everything would easily fit into the trunk and back seat of a compact car.
More than likely I'm heading to Veracruz. Any suggestions? Options? Gracias!

We have found that air cargo is less expensive than trucking and less damages too. Why not get yourself, your dog and gear on a plane to Veracruz and have done with it.
