No-Inmigrante renewal a really pleasant experience

Hello all,

After a day of frustration filling out my application for renewal on the Internet (easy to do) but frustrating follow-up, downloading the formatio básico to fill out by hand since it was NOT printable (I'm using Adobe X) and running into blockages about not being able to use my document number and keyword to see and print what I had done, today was a rather pleasing experience.

I took my passport and a copy, my No-Inmigrante card and a copy, my 4 infantil full face pictures (color), my two right profiles, my proof of income (3 months on-line downloaded bank statements) and a copy of each, my proof of residence and a copy, and was off to the Zacatecas Inmigración office. I got there 10 minutes early but they let me in, waived me on to an agent and a half hour later which included a 10 minute trip to a BANCOMLER and back they sent me home. They were able to call up on their computer my application using the document number which would NOT work for me. So the fact that I could not provide a printed copy was of no importance. They gave me a NUT to follow processing of the document and said they would call me when it was ready. No fingerprints yet.

Got home and tried the NUT and received the message it could NOT be found. But so what? Will wait for the call.

As usual, Rolly and his website were a great help. Yea, Rolly!!

Sure beats the hour and half in the office of the past!

Hope your experience is as good. As ever, jerezano

It takes a little while for your account to be put online.
It will work later and show the progress of your application.

Your experience should be another reminder to others that the latest version (10) of Adobe Reader is not compatible with the IMN program. But, so what? All you really need is the file number of your application.

Thanks to Rolly and others on the board I really enjoyed renewing my FM2 - plus I felt so proud of myself. Beginning of November I need to start the paperwork for my DH. Originally we had applied at the same time (a professional doing it for us) but for some unknown reason they said DH had 'ugly papers' and had to be sent to Mexico. Mine was finished in a week - picked up Oct. 19, while DH's didn't come in until Dec 3 - taking about 2 months.

Glad you had a good experience.
