Hey Everybody,

I am a bit confused about whether to go for car insurance in Mexico or not. I have never ever driven into Mexico so I am unsure about it. Kindly suggest me what to go for?

The answer is simple, do not drive in Mexico without Mexico insurance coverage. If you are in an accident, and you do not have insurance, you will sit in jail until all damages are paid.

the best anwers regarding mexico auto insurance is :

when involved in an accident, your officially detained untill you can prove you can pay for the damages/medical bills for victim...... most usually get a 100,000 u.s. blanket policy..... or 1,000,000 pesos... that usually includes the lawyer that will post a bond to have your released.....

after an accident, the insurance company adjuster will come to the scene of the accident and do his job..... that can take some time.... 1 hour.... to 3 hours......
