Tony, is there any chance that you might do or are doing another book on travel in Mexico? Our copy of Western Mexico, A Traveller's Treasury is getting pretty dogged eared and we haven't yet hit half the places. Most of our friends want a copy now and since it is out of print, it is hard to come by. You did one of the best coverages of things and places that we've ever read!!! Thank you.
Willie

Thanks for your question, and your kind words about Western Mexico, A Traveller's Treasury. (link is to Amazon.com)
Actually, the book has certainly never been out of print, though it has proved impossible to keep it in stores such as the Sanborns chain. It should be available at any of the following locations:

Guadalajara:

Sandi's Bookstore in Chapalita

Ajijic:

La Nueva Posada,
Opus Boutique
Diane Pearle
Lake Chapala Society
Liibros y Revistas
and can sometimes be found in other locations

There is also an excellent Spanish translation by Lorenza Castiello available "El Occidente de México, un tesoro para el viajero", also available in most of the above stores.

If you are not fluent in Spanish, having a copy of both the English and Spanish editions would be a great way to improve your Spanish while finding out more about a wide variety of places and ideas.

Both books are also available online via amazon.com -(link is to English edition)
or direct from me - sales@sombrerobooks.com

Stocks are getting fairly low, and I have been toying with the idea of an update for the past 3 or 4 years, but have not made any final decision yet, so there is no timeline for when this might happen.

¿Have you considered a Kindle version?

Yes, I am certainly considering an e-book version (format/s not yet decided) but this is unlikely to happen in the immediate future owing to other projects I'd like (or need) to finish first.

Tony, Mea culpa! I must not have had my glasses on when I looked at Amazon the other day....it clearly says "only 1 copy left"...so someone will get lucky & get it soon.
Thanks again!
Willie

Nothing to apologise for! I've never understood how amazon decides the number of copies it shows as "available". In my experience, it rarely matches the number they actually have in stock at that point in time! For many books, amazon routinely keep only 1 or 2 copies in stock; for others such as Geo-Mexico, the geography and dynamics of modern Mexico, their stock is usually around 15 copies.
