Citlaltepec "Pico the Orizaba" a giant in my memory

In '79 a bunch of us flew down there and climbed(Alpine style) a few of mexico's volcanoes. Popo, Pico (we ran out of time to do Ixta) I was the youngest of the bunch, we had Viet vets, adventurers, etc in our group. I'll never forget listening to the sound of an engine and automatically looking up. John and Veronica Grubb (John was an Alpine guide back home) a Swiss couple we had met at the refuge, grinned at me and told me to look down(we were at 17,500 ft. having a snack). I looked down and there at about 10,000 ft. was a single engine plodding along, we were on a glacier that had started at about 14,000 ft....and that brings me to my question ..Are the glaciers in Mexico receding like the one in Kilimanjaro and some of the peaks in Europe? (I have friends in the Chammonix and they have not seen any change) Just thinking here of possibly climbing in Mexico this coming Feb..The view of the Gulf Of Mexico at sunrise was out of this world just a golden ribbon in the horizon as the sun rose over the waters......a view worth going back to....
