SPAM ATTACK

Can't Post | Private Reply
On the Mexconnect email, we have weathered the attack of the Russian hotties, the cheap Viagra suggestion for dealing with the Russian hotties, the medical bargains, the hot babe picture offers and now, the biggest and best SPAM attack ever:

"EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES"

We've had at least 30 or 40 of those in the last week. What gives? Who's getting their grubby hands on our address?
I ask because it is ONLY happening on Mexconnect email. Needless to say, they are moved to the SPAM folder, every one.

Anyone else having this problem?

I have had only a little of it on my MexConnect email account. More on my Hotmail, and a boat load of it on my Rollybrook.com mail site which has no spam filter at all.

Sorry that you are struggling with spam on that address.
The mexconnect.com email server is well protected and the email accounts are protected by a spam filter that does the best it can.
In cases like yours where it appears that you are somewhat unique in receiving this spam, it is the result of using the address to register on some web site somewhere. I use a throw-away address if I am using it in an unsecured setting.
Perhaps this is the case for you?

There's still Mexconnect email? I thought it had been terminated in the last metamorphosis.

In addition to the above, it seems that there has been a general increase in spam on the Mex mail. I will ask that the spam filter be strengthened.

Thanks. We have not, to our knowledge, been on any unsecured websites.........but alas. the cyberworld is not always what it seems and there be dragons out there.
