This is my first successful reply to anyone on the forum. The problem was with my sign-in. It took me almost two weeks to understand what was being asked. (I'm 70 and kinda slow.) Now that I can post and reply, I feel successful, intelligent and life is worth living.

I have no problem with the format. It does exactly what I think a forum should do, i.e., make information accessible.

Well that's my two cents worth.

See how easy it is to move this thread ... thats cool. It's fun, just takes getting used to. I think the majority of bennies are for the moderators.

I like the fact that you don't have to scroll all the way down to see if there is an answer to an old question: if it's answered the threat migrates to the top. Neat.

Seeing all the responses to a post at once is great, but it shouldn't take so many steps to get into a forum. I have to click on Forums, then click on a particular forum, then click on Log In and do so, and then click on a particular forum again. There should be a way to subtract a couple of steps from that process.

You are probably making life more complicated for yourself, you only have to log in ONCE. You do not have to log into every forum area, once you are logged in that's it until you log out.

Even in the "Old" forum you had different areas to chose from, that is no different here. The more you use it the easier it is to use.

Cheers

As a new entrant in the sweepstakes of which format is better, I like this one. When you are logged in as guest, you get a different view (something the administrator may wish to try). I did not use the old format very much (10-20 times), but almost gave up on the forum because of all the back and forth between threads. In this format, threads are presented in a more expedient manner. Mind you, I am a geek, but I also speak spanish. Left brain, right brain, which voice is louder? :)
