The last time I posted, I was talking about getting the FM3 in Seattle so here's the straight skinny on how all that went and what was required. We have it in hand! I went beautifully! So here's what we absolutely needed: Current Passport, 3 months of Bank Statements, A notorized letter from the bank saying that they would. at my direction, transfer money to a Mexican Bank Account ( $1000 USD for the head of the household and $500 for each dependent was specified in the letter), A notorized letter from the State Highway Patrol that we were not criminals. A word about that: You can go on line and get a background check done but you must have that notorized letter for each person applying, that is all that is acceptable. Pictures are taken and then$134 USD paid per person applying. Now then, I was told to present a document that they issued me within one month of my arrival in Manzanillo and also the Bond will also be removed from the car which we are taking and leaving. We will also be requested Title and Proof of insurance at the border. There you everyone. I would call this an easy experience. Senor Gabrial Diaz in Seattle was extremely decent and very helpful!!
