New Visa Regulations

A friend here in Mexico City recently had some business to take care of at Migración. Here is one piece of information he gleaned from one of the people who helped him:

"They did confirm that the rumour is UNTRUE that you will have to apply for visas other than tourist from outside Mexico."

Just thought I'd add this to the mix!

That is good news! I'm anxiously waiting for the regs to be published so I can begin the process under the new rules. Thank you La Isla for the update.

I´m hoping it's true, but in Mexico you never know how news rules and regulations will really work till they go into force. Let's keep our fingers crossed!
