Bad things happen everywhere and we should be made aware of them. If something like that happened in Conroe, a small community outside Houston, would it keep anyone from visiting Houston? I don't think so. It was an isolated incident.
Secondly, the incident happened at 1:30am, in the morning. Most expats and tourists do not drive at that time of the night. And, if you remember, this thread is about the safety of expats in Michoacan. None injured in that incident, which could be why we haven't heard of it, until now.

Not to be too technical but the distance is more like 125km? 25km might sound like it is right outside the confines of Morelia but this is a fair distance. I don't think anyone has denied that "incidents" certainly do happen!
