Did anyone see the Water Spout on Lake Chapala this AM between 9 to 10 AM?

Reports from several people in Riberas, on chapala.com, were of a small amount of rain. Because there was a lot in the Ajijic area, doesn't mean that Riberas had the same.

John - please watch your language and be a little less "know it all" - it will make for a happier relationship with other posters.

wadda twit! anyone who has lived here for any length of time knows that sometimes it can be raining like haitch on one side of the street and nada on the other.
we in chapala on the day in question got good rain fer a while but nuttin like my ducky friend got west of 6 corners-so what!

I joined MexConnect this morning so I could personally respond to you re: the inappropriate comments to Steve, who has run the very professional Lake Chapala Weather Net. I don't know you but after reading the comments of others, sounds like you are not the professional you may profess to be.

Steve, for us at the WestEnd, we so appreciate your work and dedication and hope you will move past this unfortuante experience and again provide the wonderful weather information you have in the past.

Please do not let one person spoil it for you and the rest of us that apprecaite your great work!

Even though we don't live in the Chapala/Ajijic area, we do follow the weather reports there daily via Steve's great website.
Thanks for the hard work done to produce such an informative site!! I wish other locations had something so informative.

Ditto.
And then some. The weather from one end of Lakeside to the other has wild variations in rainfall.

Several people I know did see the waterspout on the lake. I was wondering about the proper dimensions for an ark during the downpour.

I don't see that as it appears to be the OP at the beginning of this thread.

Steve is a personal friend and I do know just how much effort he puts forth attempting to maintain some semblance of accuracy to his site in spite of interruptions in data transmission brought on by CFE outages, wind damaged instruments, computer hiccups, etc. Personally, I would never have the patience nor fortitude to go through all that he has gone through over the past four years to say nothing of the monetary investment for the original system and various replacement parts. Because of these efforts and dedication, we all have it easy since all we have to do is go to a link and there we have the best available information on the weather at Lake Chapala!

Steve - I apologize for my language. It was out of line on a public forum. I', sorry to see the weather station shut down as I have used it 3 or 4 times a day and found it very informative. I hope you'll reconsider a restart.
