Conversation w/Santa Clara del Cobre local

Just last Tuesday, I had a lengthy conversation with one of our business contacts in Santa Clara del Cobre. While we covered many topics, one that came up was the situation existing between La Familia and the Knights Templar. It was his hope that these two factions could resolve their issues between themselves without making alliances with other cartels to gain additional strength and power. Well, it now appears that his fears have proven with the announcement that La Familia has formed an alliance with Los Zetas:

Well...the 'news' of the alleged formation of a new alliance is written here on the Knights Templar narcomanta (any banner written and placed by the narcos).

I don't know whether that makes it real or not. Maybe, but also maybe it's just propaganda.

It's been a constant refrain in the cartel world -- killing each other yesterday, shaking hand and locking arms today, killing each other tomorrow. And so it goes worlds without end.
