The guys here in Dallas have been buying boots like that for at least a couple of years. Talk about laughing, my 19 year old neighbor paid well over $200.00 for a pair that he can only wear to the club (the Far West in Dallas, just 3 blocks from where we live, and mentioned in the article). He saved for them over 6 months. Creates a real logistical problem getting in and out of trucks and moving around in the club, which is always wall to wall people.

This is proof that men as well as women will wear shoes that are uncomfortable and just plain silly-looking, as long as they're in style!

Gee, maybe this will catch on with Southern Baptists -- who always opposed sex on the grounds that it might lead to dancing. Hard to do either wearing shoes like those.

I wonder if I could wear those while diving, instead of fins. Or maybe ski with them?

I remember sandals made from car tires, these boots use recycled garden hoses.

I have seen boots in the past with long tips that served no purpose, at least with these the upturned tips can tickle the legs of their dance partners with loose fitting jeans or ???? So when men wear with pants with tight legs they do not have to worry about another guy messing with the machismo.

Driving will still be an issue unless the men are not sitting on the passenger side and the women are driving them around. With real long boots the men will have to ride in the bed of the trucks.

The boots may be good for walking and strutting ones stuff, but worthless for riding, fighting, running or hiding (the shoe tips could give away their location).

Maybe one can have the tips take on the form of snakes or other forms of wildlife.
Fashion trends are not always useful in the real world or out in the elements.

Carl, he can also take them to Aspen and not have to pay for ski rental. T.
