car permit

I Thought I read that it is possible to have your car trucked to Mexico.
The person that I hired to take my household goods to Mexico said he will tow the car and when he gets to the boarder he has to unload the car and drive it across. I know that only family members can drive the car. I called Mexican customs that said the only person that can bring the car into Mexico is myself or my wife. Does anyone have any experience with having a car towed down to Mexico?
Any input is much appreciated.

Thanks
Tony

Believe what aduana told you.
Several people have reported having a car shipped to México.
In each case, they were required to meet the car to escort it through customs.

Rolly, Do you know if the attached info is current/correct regarding expired licence tabs? If so, do they apply this to people just travelling through the state of Jalisco? Or do they apply it at all?

Thanks for any insight you or anyone living in Jalisco might be able to provide!

Saludos,
Willie

Willie, that is a very long document, and I don't have the energy or interest to read all that.
Also I know nothing about the traffic rules in Jalisco.
Why don't you ask Spencer directly? His contact info is given in the document.
