Welcome back, Tlaloc!

I know it's too early in the year for the real rainy season to have arrived, but right now it's pouring rain outside my windows, and little balls of ice (aka hail) are bouncing off my plant balcony. And it rained here yesterday too. I feel so much less grumpy now that the heat has lifted!

We got some too, at Lake Chapala. At first, I couldn't be bothered to take some laundry off the line on the roof. Then I knew I had to do it. Much cooler. Yay. For now!

We were attending a wedding in a church in the suburbs of Naucalpan when the storm broke. It was a dramatic backdrop through the picture windows behind the altar as the vows were said.

Oh dear! Rain at a wedding!!!! My grandfather was not going to let me get married it had rained on my wedding day, because of an old wive's tale that would be the number of tears shed during the marriage! It did sprinkle that day & the marriage lasted almost 10 yrs!
I wonder if there are such beliefs in the culture here?
