Highway conditions North from Vallarta to Nogales

Does anyone have up to date info on highway 200 & 15 North to Nogales starting in Vallarta?
We plan on leaving April 17.

We made the drive in early March with no problems. We avoided Tepic by turning towards San Blass at Las Varas and than connecting to the Mazatlan cuota on the other side of Tepic. We stayed one night in Mazatlan and another night in Navoja and than on to Tucson. We only encountered a couple of army roadblocks and of course several inspection stations. The border crossing line at Nogales on a Monday afternoon was fairly short. So in conclusion very easy ride north.

I made the trip about March 16th. Stayed at Mazatlan one night and a side trip to Alamos for another night...road was in good shape without any problems at all.......enjoy

It looks like we move in the same patterns ,we too go to San Blass, then on to Navojoa the next day and across the border the following day,

We would like to find a place between San Blass mid way to Navojoa and between there and the border to stay for a night, but we travel with a small dog and the minute you mention a dog or pet you have to forget about good accommodations and also finding reasonable food for the night.
