2 VERY GOOD CHOICES.- HACIENDA SAN MIGUEL OMETUSCO, A REAL OLD HACIENDA, VISIT www.sanmiguelometusco.com SHOULD LEAVE ARCO NORTE AT Km 153, GOING WEST TO PIRÁMIDES & MEXICO CITY AND, ABOUT 3-4 km, YOU LEAVE THE HIGHWAY AND TAKE A REAL RURAL DIRT ROAD. SHOULD BE ABOUT 5 km, ONCE YOU LEAVE THE MEX-PIRÁMIDES - TULANCINGO HIGHWAY.
THE OTHER, THE VILLAS ARQUEOLÓGICAS TEOTIHUACÁN HOTEL, VERY NICE, LOCATED IN THE RING ROAD AROUND THE TEOTIHUACÁN PYRAMIDS.
ANY ONE, VERY GOOD AND ORIGINAL OPTIONS.

Neil, you probably remember that Bubba and Vichil make this trip often and usually stay in Fortin de Las Flores at the Las Magnolias B&B. As I recall they also stayed in Orizaba where there are several hotels to choose from. Those spots are about 500 miles out of Guadalajara and should be an easy day now with the Arco Norte. Then about 350 miles to San Cristobal.

Do a Forum Search for Fortin...

Chinagringo,

We have made the trip from Lake Chapala to Puebla and back using the Arco Norte, and stopped overnight in Tula, Hidalgo. We stayed at the Best Western and another time at the Catedral, both nice hotels close to the plaza. As well as being an attractive small city, Tula is the site of Tollan, the ruins of the capital of the Toltec Empire, a very interesting way to spend 2-3 hours.

For a look at both Tollan and modern Tula:

Lots of information about Hoy No Circula here: http://www.locatel.df.gob.mx/?q=node/35 While the Arco Note is not mentioned specifically, there are some Mexican phone numbers to get more information.

Dear Sirs.-

The "Hoy no circula" program is not enforced in Arco Norte.
Applies only in the Metro Mexico City Area.

Happy Trails!
