Help! I'm a magazine writer in the U.S. who is doing an article about high-end, premium tequilas. My editor wants me to find THE place, or at least a great place, in Mexico (Guadalajara?? Mexico City??) where you'd drink the best tequila in the world. Suggestions, anyone? I welcome detailed descriptions of your favorite magical spot. Thanks,

you can got to Penjamo in Guanajuato, mexico, in the "Hacienda de Corralejo" the made Corralejo, it's a great tequila

I suspect that THE place would be with some tequila producer with his own private stash.

Since you are on an expense account, one option might be to try the Hacienda de los Morales in Mexico City, which reputedly has an extremely extensive tequila selection and is quite a nice place. Coat and tie, entrees run about $15 to $20 U.S., or a bit higher for some things.
