what I need to do to bring items into Mexico

Can't Post |
My husband and I are taking the new ferry service from Tampa to Cancun at the end of December. We finally know what we need to do here to bring our mini van into the country but what about items I need for our apartment. I thought I had read somewhere that anything new cannot be brought in, this that true? Mainly I am interested in what I need to know before I go through customs and can I bring ceiling fans, lights, lamps, mini blinds and a satilite receiver in(plan to buy the dish in Playa)? My husband will also be bringing in small hand tools. He actually has brought in quite a few already, with no problems and no taxes. Any help here would sure be appreciated.

We are not planning on bringing a whole household of furniture and others, mainly what I listed above, maybe a few more odds and ends. Do we need to go through the same procedure? My hudband does have his fm3 card and he has already made that quick trip down to Mexico, and returning on the ferry at the end of December?<p>
