PUR Water Pitcher--does it work in Ajijic?

I am arriving in Ajijic in 2 days. I use a PUR water pitcher here, which has a great filter that gets rid of bacteria as well as pesticides, herbicides etc. Does anyone there use this system? If it will work, I will bring it.
