Their website sure doesn't offer many clues about the place. TripAdvisor has a brief blurb with a few photos but no reviews:

For a very colonial city, this hotel appears to be quite modern.

I've walked by it several times, but never had reason to go in. Guerrero is at that point a fairly narrow street, about 5 blocks south of Av. Madero, the principal street in Centro.

Are you interested in staying in that area of Morelia?

Actualy I heard from someone who should know that it was forced to close by La Famila--jusT wondered if anyone had been by it recently.

I haven't been by it recently, so I can't say whether it was closed or not.
At any rate, I was just reading on quadratin.com.mx that the hotel room occupancy rate for Pátzcuaro in December was 20%. So, in that manner, at least, Michoacán tourism is negatively impacted by narco violence.

Forced to close by La Familia?? This is false information.

The MLM is open. Very open. I was just there for a party on their terrace this past Saturday evening.
