site blockage

Can't Post | Private Reply

I have picked up from this forum an address of http://spectic.kaplanphotos.com/www/del that keeps blocking my back button from returning to the previous entry. The site will not open on my computer and is not on all of the areas of this forum. I have been unable to delete this item. Has anyone else experienced this?

I don't understand most of your post, but I do know that many websites disable the back button.

In my case the download of the site gets to the kaplan photo site and just sits there, connecting and connecting. That's after it spent a lot of time at Goggle analyticals - it's slower than molasses these days getting Mexconnect to download.

Can you be more specific by what you mean by "picked up" . . . that link is not a part of Mexconnect.

David, have the same problem (just on mexcon) with mouse and keyboard.

You can sometimes Go Back with the keyboard combo of Alt-LeftArrow, even the button is disabled.

Or select the dropdown on the Back history and select a site before the last one.

The best way to avoid this altogether is to open links in a new tab then just close the tab when you are done.

David - down at the bottom of the screen, where the download process is showing up. At the moment, as I type this, it is showing connecting to spectic.kaplanphotos.com. After some time, it will say done but I can have done a lot of things before "done" comes up.

Mine does the same thing (hangs on "Transferring data from googleads.g.doubleclick.net" and afterwards on "Connecting to spectic.kaplanphotos.com"). Neither affects my back button, though, and I can see and use all the Mexconnect links, so I just ignore it.

It looks to me like the spectic.kaplan site is being called up by the google ads server, which waits for a connection timeout before allowing the page to show as completely loaded without it. Just a guess, but you might try reporting it to google

Here (I hope) is a screenshot. I've never used the "advanced editor" before. Look at the very bottom left of the window.

I do not see the mystery line when using IE8, but I do see it with Firefox. Hummmm...

It is being done by Google for reasons that are not clear to me.

Before the hang up at sceptic.kaplanphotos.com, a lot of time is spent at Read pagead2.googlesyndication - then it lurches on to the photo link.
