International Independent Film Fest

This ambitious undertaking is being held in Oaxaca City from NOv. 3 to 11. It also includes a short story contest in both English and Spanish. You'll find a schedule of the independent film showings here.

Hola, Geri.

Thanks for posting this link. The festival looks intriguing and diverse, and I love the idea of seeing movies at La Curtiduria, my favorite tiny gallery. I am surprised that I have not heard a single thing about the festival from anyone until I saw your post, including my local friends involved in film. Have you seen it advertised anywhere at all?

UPDATE

The film fest is in full swing, 30 countries represented, 140 films....The inauguration last night filled the Teatro Alcala, at least the first level. It's kinda hard to figure out what's happening there, some changes, but if you're in Oaxaca, I hope you attend at least one of the creative films being shown.
