Sweet Corn Mush

Can't Post |

In several Mexican resturants I have gotten a side of what looks to be a sweet corn mush that is kind of the consistency of firm cooked grits (It can be scooped in an ice cream scooper). It is so good but I do not know the name of it. Does anybody know what I am describing and know a receipe for it? Thanks.

"Masa". I have been looking for the recipe. All I have found out is that it is a moist paste of ground softened corn kernals. I am trying to find out exactly how to make it. I will post it if I find a recipe.

Search below for "cornbread". There is a recipe for tomalito a few posts down. I think that is what you are looking for.

I found something on tomalitto but it appears to be for something like tomatoes. What I have eaten is made from corn, is sweet and looks to be scooped out since it is soft. Thanks for the hint.
