Double request for Acuyacan to Villahermosa Info

What are the current travel times and driving conditions when going west from Acuyacan to Villahermosa? We'll be driving there in 2 days, and we'd like to decide whether to take a southern detour through Tuxtla Gutierrez & San Cristobal or chug slowly through the road desviaciones y river beds of northern Vera Cruz.
THANKS!

Update;
As of late last night, there were 3 mile to 5 mile backups at pinch points where both directions of traffic were forced onto just one side of the normally divided highway. Speeds were reduced to 10 mph for 20 minutes at a time in several areas due to very rough sections of roads. The heavy trucks have beaten the hell out of several areas - making lots of big potholes that could not be avoided.

Our trailer lost a fender and had one axle skewed by the wicked holes, and we were going only 12 mph... conditions seem to be changing daily. The road crews were filling in washed out sections, so, they may have both directions working fine in 2-3 days - but some areas with slow speeds.
