In the article it states it was reported to police at 9:15PM as it happened a few min. before ....
and it seems to have happened on highway 15 not 15D the toll road which I would think most tourist would take...
que lastima

Why is the relevance whether the victim of the carjacking was a tourist versus a national?

i dont think it matters if your a tourist or not..... mexican citizens from other states are tourist also.... it also seems like they are targetting V8 engine vehicles.
i am more shocked that days after the so called increased federal highway patrol convoys... that it would happen.

How could anyone be shocked at a failure in police protection in a place where this could happen, on the same day and in the same state?
